Welcome to AA Psychology & Consulting. By accessing our website (aapsych.ca) or booking services with our clinic, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please review them carefully.

1. Psychological Services & Emergencies

The information provided on this website is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute psychological or medical advice. Booking an appointment or submitting a contact form does not immediately establish a psychologist-patient relationship.

Emergency Disclaimer: AA Psychology & Consulting is not an emergency crisis facility. We do not provide 24/7 on-call services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, experiencing thoughts of self-harm, or are in immediate danger, please dial 911 or proceed to your nearest hospital emergency department.

2. Appointments & Cancellation Policy

When you book an appointment, we reserve that time specifically for you. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, or missed appointments (no-shows), will be subject to a cancellation fee up to the full cost of the session.
• Exceptions may be made in cases of sudden illness or unavoidable emergencies, at the discretion of your attending psychologist.

3. Fees, Billing, and Jane App

Our clinical services are billed at rates aligned with the recommended fee schedule of the Psychologists' Association of Alberta (PAA). Specific fees vary by practitioner and service type (e.g., individual therapy vs. assessment).

• Payment is due at the time of service.
• We utilize the secure Jane App portal for bookings, electronic medical records, and payment processing. By using our services, you agree to the terms of service of the Jane App platform.
• While we may offer direct billing to certain insurance providers, you are ultimately responsible for the full payment of your account if your insurance claim is denied or only partially covered. We provide official receipts that can be submitted to your health benefits provider or used for income tax purposes.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of AA Psychology & Consulting and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our express written consent.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AA Psychology & Consulting, its psychologists, and staff shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of this website or reliance on any information provided herein. The clinical outcomes of therapy cannot be guaranteed, and participation in treatment is voluntary.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from the use of this website or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
